Meet our Member: Leisa Grace Wilson

I am an educator and a multi-passionate entrepreneur. I am a creative soul who loves to write and read. I enjoy working out and a nice long walk when I have the time.

Where are you from and if not here, what brought you to Abu Dhabi?

I am from London, England by way of Jamaica. I came to the UAE in 2010 to be an Education Advisor with Nord Anglia Education Ltd. What was supposed to have been a two contract has turned into nearly 10 years.

What should we ask you about?

Feel free to ask me about all things education. From technology to textbooks I have done it all!

What’s your biggest challenge at the moment?

My greatest challenge right now is managing all the facets of my life and making sure I am present especially when I am spending time with my kids.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

The buck stops here. I am responsible for my life and my choices. All of it.

What’s your favourite quote?

Let your faith be bigger than your fear.

What’s your favourite thing to do in the UAE?

Drive up to Al Aqah Beach and spend time looking at the mountains and the coastline.

What’s one thing not many people know about you?

I am extremely scared of dogs (sorry to all the dog lovers out there).
